| Royal Wulff's brand new Ambush taper single hand line is breaking new ground. A single hand line designed with an eye toward spey line and shooting head design. A total of 90', the Ambush line consists of a heavily weighted 20' head with an integrated running line. There are so many possibilities for this line. Coldwater beach anglers will find application for long distance single spey roll casts to present large flies. Trout anglers will be able to turn large dries and streamers with ease no matter what's behind them. Bass anglers will be able to fire off poppers and heavy eyed buggers with ease. AK bound silver anglers will delight in turning thunderheads with this line. I suspect striper anglers and single-hand steelheaders will celebrate the arrival of heavier lines as well. Don't be fooled, this is not simply a roll-casting line...Overhead casters will be able to complete 70 foot casts with a single haul and shoot. This line will flat blast. Update: After further testing with this line....lines 4 - 6 will cast up to a T-11 custom tip, though T-8 works plenty well and we'd advise sticking with it. Lines 7 - 8 will accomodate up to T -14 ahead of the tip. A great way to switch up your game in the middle of a long day for summer steel! |
