False Albacore Fishing
North Carolina

It's our favorite type of fishing and it begins in September and usually peaks in November. This is False Albacore time in N.C. and there is even an Albiefest celebration. The fishing is around Cape Lookout and the bait is usuallly Bay Anchovies around 1 1/2 to 3 inches We like a 9wt. for this fishing, but sometimes wish we had a ten for more liifing poweer.. A knowlegable guide and boat is essential. but we urge you to book early!
